Wonder, Puzzles, and Play:

“The Magical ART of Jay Alexander”

Lands Nov. 4

Mill Valley, CA — Internationally acclaimed magician and mentalist Jay Alexander unveils his debut art exhibition, Wonder Menagerie: The Magical ART of Jay Alexander, opening reception on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Throckmorton Theatre (142 Throckmorton Avenue, Mill Valley).

Celebrated for bending reality on stage, Marin-based Magician/Mentalist Jay Alexander now invites audiences into a different kind of theater: the art gallery. This new body of work fuses the mechanics of illusion with visual art, pieces that don’t merely hang on walls but ask you to participate.

“Each piece is designed to do more than hang silently on a wall; it asks you to interact, to look twice, to lean in closer,” says Alexander. “Some works hide illusions, play on words, and puzzles. Others shift as you move. A few even contain a trick waiting for you to discover. I want people to feel the same sense of wonder they experience in my show—but here, the magic lingers. You’re not just looking at art; you’re participating in it. This is not a show to stand back and look at. This is a world you are invited to step into.”
